Adventures of Riverlea Farm is a book series written by a speech language therapist for children about a farm in South Africa. The first five books are available for sale for R440 / set of five or R100 / individual books. The Adventures of Riverlea Farm are rich with rhyme and balanced syllables to increase a child’s sound awareness (phonemics) and improve reading (pre-literacy) ability. It has been estimated that there is a “million word gap” between children by five years of age who have never been read to and those who have been exposed to five books a day (Logan et al., 2019).
